Abhishek Sharma is a Partner with Link Legal India Law Services and has over 13 years of experience. He is the Addnl. Joint Secretary of the NCLT and NCLAT Bar Association and a former Board Member of Global law (a worldwide network of more than 100 independent law firms).
He has substantial experience in handling disputes concerning the aviation sector (including airports) and in handling civil and commercial disputes in various fora including the Supreme Court of India. He routinely acts for clients in arbitration proceedings, both domestic as well as international. Abhishek is a regular practioner before the various benches of the NCLT as well as the NCLAT in a large number of insolvency and company law matters.
Abhishek has also represented clients before the Director General, the CCI, and the Competition Appellate Tribunal in various investigations as well as proceedings concerning allegations regarding anti-competitive behaviour in fixation of passenger fare, determination of number of tickets sold in each price bucket, increase in fare during the Jat agitation in Haryana and fuel surcharge on cargo.
Abhishek has appeared and argued various matters which have been reported in legal journals. He appeared for Emaar Properties PJSC Dubai before the Supreme Court in its challenge to an Amendment to the IBC.
Abhishek speaks at various national and international conferences and regularly speaks at events on various topics including Insolvency, Arbitration and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate in the law chambers of Mr. Arun Jaitley, Senior Advocate. He has also completed an attachment with Allen & Gledhill, Singapore.He has formidable experience in representing airports and airlines in some of the most complex and intricate disputes in the industry.
