Kartik is an associate partner in the Dispute Resolution practice group of DSK Legal and has vast experience in representing domestic and international clients in commercial, contractual disputes, technology, telecom, media and entertainment related disputes, regulatory issues pertaining to India as also international arbitration and white-collar crimes.
He also advises the ministries and institutions under the Government of India extensively. He appears regularly before various fora, including the Supreme Court of India, High Courts and Tribunals all across India.
Prior to joining the firm, Kartik has worked with Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB & Partners, Bhasin & Company and Economic Law Practices in his earlier professional engagements.
Kartik is a skilled litigator having vast experience of representing and advising clients in various disputes including Commercial and Contractual Disputes, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, Construction and Infrastructure, Power and Energy, International/Domestic Trade and Sale of Goods, White Collar Crimes and Economic Regulatory Practice.
He has extensively advised and represented large industrial houses, engaged in various sectors. Kartik has undertaken key white-collar crimes prosecution, investigation and defence assignments, which involve a deep understanding of the regulatory and judicial framework on criminal law, corporate governance and economic regulations associated with doing business in India by Foreign companies and Non-Resident Indians.
Kartik has advised the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on the issue of certification and release of movies and in contempt proceedings involving CBFC. He also represented Ministry of Information and Broadcasting before the TDSAT in relation to challenge to various provisions of DTH licenses and payment of outstanding license fee by DTH Operators. He also advised and represented clients before Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal on the issue of allocation of telecom spectrum by the Government of India and over issues concerning payment of SLDC and Adjusted Gross Revenue.Back
